THE WORK
As a Procurement Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of dedicated Procurement Engineers providing engineering and technical support for spare part procurement. The team will support Military Out-of-Production (OOP) sustainment as well as S-92 part procurement activities. This role supports multiple Sikorsky OOP platforms including CH-53D/E, Legacy Presidential, Legacy H-60, and other strategic special projects as required. The position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Out of Production Supply Chain.
In this role, you will:
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of Procurement Engineers supporting complex aerospace and defense procurement initiatives.
• Coordinate closely with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, Quality, Flight Safety, Product Quality Engineering, suppliers, and industry experts to support the design, production, testing, and qualification of aerospace components and systems.
• Oversee employee recruitment, onboarding, training, development, performance management, and workload balancing across the team.
• Direct the analysis of technical data, engineering drawings, preliminary specifications, manufacturing capabilities, supplier facilities, and tooling/equipment requirements.
• Lead technical trade studies, obsolescence analysis, standardization initiatives, and make/buy evaluations to support cost-effective procurement strategies and supplier transitions.
• Manage strategic supply chain and procurement engineering initiatives supporting business priorities.
• Oversee design changes and supplier-related engineering solutions to mitigate production and sustainment challenges.
• Lead cross-functional teams in resolving issues related to producibility, quality, inspection, cost, reliability, affordability, testing, and mistake-proofing.
• Develop and manage metrics, KPIs, risk reporting, and executive-level status updates for senior leadership.
• Manage labor and tooling budgets across multiple programs and sustainment efforts.

You are passionate about leading teams, solving complex technical procurement challenges, and driving continuous improvement across suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing operations.
Basic Qualifications
- Understanding of aerospace systems, sustainment operations, and the acquisition or aftermarket support lifecycle
- Experience managing multiple complex initiatives, prioritizing tasks
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Technical background
- Experience interfacing with cross functional groups such as Supply Chain, Quality, Test Engineering, Core Engineering
- Experience working directly with suppliers and collaborating with them to overcome obstacles and drive part delivery
- Ability to travel up to 20% including local Connecticut suppliers and other Domestic/International suppliers
- Experience with finding and developing new sources of supply
Desired skills
- Experience supporting Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) or aftermarket sustainment programs
- Experience with AI tool implementation
- At least 3 years of experience leading a team of engineers
- Experience with Solumina, PMC, Dockpak, MatrixOne, Catia
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $117,200 - $206,770. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $134,900 - $233,680. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
