Title: Procurement/ Category Manager - IT
Type: Direct Hire
Location: Salisbury, MD- Onsite/Hybrid
Compensation: $90-$130K
What you'll do
- Build and execute category strategies that deliver total value (cost, risk, service, innovation).
- Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives (RFP/RFQ/RFI), supplier evaluations, and negotiations.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance metrics, and corrective action plans.
- Conduct spend analysis, market research, and benchmarking to identify opportunities.
- Partner cross-functionally with IT, Finance, Legal, and Operations to align sourcing with business needs.
- Support contract lifecycle management (terms, renewals, compliance checkpoints) and smooth handoffs to operational teams.
- Identify and escalate supplier and continuity risks; recommend mitigation plans.
- Drive continuous improvement through standardized tools and best practices (e.g., SAP Ariba).
What you'll bring - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of IT procurement / IT sourcing experience (hardware, software, telecom, and/or IT professional services).
- Strong experience running sourcing events and negotiating supplier agreements.
- Working knowledge of contract fundamentals and supplier performance management.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience with ERP and e-sourcing tools (SAP Ariba preferred).
