Job DescriptionThe role reports to the Inc. Supply Chain organization and will be responsible for providing project management support and analytics to the implementation of BAE Systems, Inc. direct global category management strategy.
The selected individual will ensure successful execution of BAE Systems, Inc. category strategy in covered categories such as raw materials, hardware, and electronics. As a key interface with Inc. business segments and divisions and in support of category management directors, the Inc. Category Manager will apply best practice project management in all aspects of the agreement process as well as support category strategy initiatives to improve efficiency, competitiveness, and related procurement digitization plans.
Key responsibilities include leading Inc. Market Intelligence projects, facilitating Inc. segment and division participation in global agreements, supporting the agreement management process and global framework agreements, and support escalated material issues in conjunction with the global category directors.
Required Skills and Education• Experience and Education: Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
• Project management experience
• Commodity or category management experience
• Previous industry experience in the Aerospace and Defense sector is required
Preferred Skills and Education- Proficiency in direct material categories: raw materials, hardware, electronics, and / or critical minerals
- Track record in delivering supply chain material savings

- Familiarity with negotiation approaches and contracts management
- Excellent stakeholder communication and influencing skills
- Strong and demonstrated analytical capability
- Ability to manage complex supply chain activities balancing corporate and business division-specific needs and benefits

- Ability to present to senior-level management
