SummaryThe Process Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating maintenance activities within the plant's process areas to maximize operating efficiency in a safe, cost-effective, and timely manner. This role ensures that process equipment is maintained in top operating condition to support optimal performance, reliability, and productivity.
This position is accountable for maintaining plant process equipment, supporting continuous equipment improvements, and minimizing downtime within their area of responsibility. The Process Maintenance Supervisor also ensures the facility remains clean, organized, and well-presented while driving maintenance excellence across processing operations.
Candidates must be willing and able to work nights and weekends as needed. Must have a valid Driver License and clean driving record. Key Responsibilities- Ensures that the Plant Policies, Procedures and Union contracts are administered and followed in a fair and consistent manner.
- Directs the loss control program in their area of accountability, to reduce personal injury accidents, other losses, and to ensure a safe working environment.
- Is responsible to attend and participate in training activities appropriate to the position and to incorporate acquired skills and knowledge.
- Is responsible for identifying the training needs of subordinates, ensuring their participation in appropriate training activities, and reinforcing subordinate's skill development with coaching, feedback and recognition.
- Maintains awareness of new developments, equipment and processes for potential applications to meet corporate and plant objectives.
- Recommends equipment, procedural and facility modifications to ensure the most efficient use of our resources.
- Directs the process areas maintenance functions to ensure the maximum operating efficiencies are maintained to meet minimal downtime, quality, volume, grade yield, safety and cost control performance.
- Provide technical services to ensure conformance with applicable codes and standards of safety, quality, sanitation and environmental protection. Must understand the codes and standards.
Typical Education- Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
Relevant Experience- 3+ years of related experience and/or training.
Other Information- Potato processing experience.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, sheet metal work, millwright trade practices, and basic electrical systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Solid mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills.
