Full Job Description
PM is seeking a Process Safety Management Coordinator (PSM) for our office in Dallas, TX.

Summary:

The position of PSM Coordinator will oversee the application of the PSM/RMP processes. Coordinate with local management, area Supervision, Corporate Stakeholders, Engineering and other applicable departments in the scheduling of required PSM audits, Incident Investigation (II), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) studies, etc. in accordance with OSHA required time frames.

Duties:
  • Facilitate and/or participate in the 3-year PSM/RMP auditing process.
  • Participate and facilitate in the auditing process of the MOC systems.
  • Participate and/or facilitate committees that review action items from the PSM/RMP Management Systems.
  • Track all action items regarding incident investigations, process hazards analysis and report open items to respective management teams.
  • Perform tasks that are outlined within the written PSM and RMP written management program.
  • Coordinate and schedule PHA's, Revalidations, Redo's etc. as required for new and existing facilities.
  • Responsible for determining capability of current and pending rule changes which would affect process operations and communicate to all affected stakeholders.
  • Assist and support the Health & Safety Coordinators, area management teams, and Engineering in overall compliance of OSHA/RMP compliance.
  • Facilitate PSM/RMP training related to overall process and MOC and action items database.
  • Provide metrics for open MOC's, action items or other PSM/RMP related items.
  • Participate in Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR's) in the field.
  • Learn of new regulatory affairs related to Process Safety Management (OSHA) and Risk Management Planning (EPA) areas and report to affected stakeholders at the corporate and field levels.
  • Ensure PSM/RMP annual reviews are conducted and certified.
  • Ensure Operating & Maintenance Procedures are current and sufficient.
  • Coordinate and Facilitate Emergency Response Drills related to PSM/RMP standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Certification in the safety field.
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Haz-Op Facilitating and Incident Investigations. Act as an Incident Investigation Leader for PSM/RMP incidents.
  • Minimum of 5 years in an industrial setting or in the safety field.
  • Motivated to gather and learn of new regulatory affairs related to Process Safety Management (OSHA) and Risk Planning (EPA) areas and report to affected stakeholders at the corporate and field levels.
  • Previous knowledge in both areas of (OSHA and EPA) is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to learn or the company electronic systems of management change.
  • Knowledge of and some proficiency with MS365 Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook).
  • Must be able to travel to various locations 30-50% of the time.

Physical Conditions:
  • Remaining in a stationary sitting position for prolonged periods of time.
  • Use of hand and eyes for computer.
  • Verbally and written communication with internal and external contacts.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
