Job Description:

Position Summary: As Process Performance Engineer, you will provide technical assistance (methods, products, etc.) to the Production teams, with the aim of optimizing the industrial process, whilst observing safety, cost, quality and lead-time criteria.

You will be a driving force for the implementation of appropriate solutions (methods, processes and organization) to meet company requirements.

Your challenges:

  • Series Production Process Time Optimizer
  • Producing PERT/GANTT diagrams
  • Program Evaluation Review Techniques diagrams are developed to identify task dependencies.
  • Producing line balancing for each MSN.
  • Defining the critical path
  • Analyzing industrial capacities
  • Calculating the workforce and resources
  • Build scenarios to simulate different station/line configurations
  • Development Process Time Optimizer
  • Contributing to the definition of the industrial architecture
  • Studying and optimizing workflows
  • Assist in determining the length a work process should take in an ideal state by conducting and drafting time observations.
  • Continuous improvement activities

  • Performing several VA/NVA analysis (Value Add / Non-Value Add)

Your boarding pass:

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of Airbus experience or relevant industry experience.
  • Excellent MS Office/Google Suite application, as well as experience in analyzing data.
  • High degree of flexibility and initiative
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and tools used in process performance engineering.
  • Knowledge of basic project management concepts.
  • Knowledge of Airbus Planning Tools (AVL2, EPIQA).
  • Understanding of the overall workflow across the Final Assembly Line
  • Capable of hosting and facilitating workshops/kaizens
  • Have the ability to work in an international team.
  • Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to present clear and concise briefings and reports to customers and executives
  • Expert in Airbus Visual Line 2
  • Knowledge in EPIQA
  • Airbus’ SAP Transactions
  • Authorized to Work in the US

Physical Requirements:

100% Onsite

Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings on a daily basis.

Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms as needed to perform duties.

Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications as needed to perform duties.

Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment as needed to perform duties.

Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs as needed to perform duties

Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs as needed to perform duties

Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools as needed to perform duties

Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer as needed to perform duties, roughly 70-90%

Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.

Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor as needed to perform duties,

Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice - 5%

Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces, as needed to perform duties - 10%

Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site

Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
