Summary Under general direction, this position is a backfill for a Human Capital Management (HCM) project, independently motivated, the role operates with a sense of urgency contributing to performance excellence of a work unit. The position applies expert knowledge, logic, tactical and strategic experience in enterprise-wide data migration, data integrity and workflow efficiency improvements including the instruction of improved processes in an HCM.
Full-Time*This position is Excluded from Civil Service* Duties and Responsibilities - Leads a work team in review of enterprise processes to improve workflow of human capital transactions to accomplish efficiencies, engage the organization and instruct on system processes
- Evaluates data for accuracy from various repositories including legacy systems (SAP, Infor/Lawson, Excel, Data warehouse, Business Objects) for system conversion and/or report concatenate
- Develops and updates performance objectives through regular reporting and communication with subject matter expert(s), evaluating, mapping and implementation of process improvements
- Conducts research to ensure understanding of customer questions and related HCM concepts for system updates and workflow designs
- Troubleshoots product configuration to resolve or provide optimal product configuration to meet County requirements
- Develops and delivers training materials and coursework including one-on-one training for HCM users
- Participates in Human Resources processes and duties to document work tasks for system integration and process improvement
- Supports Human Resources and Payroll in the data-entry and update of the HCM to configure the system in a sustainable and logical manner that improves efficiency for the County
- Accountable for the countywide culture, in system engagement, through regular user check-ins, learning opportunities and on-demand resources for all constituents of the system
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or closely related field. 5 years of experience working with an HCM as a Project Lead or a Functional Manager.
- Proven strong foundation and knowledge of principles & practice of HCM including HR/Payroll compliance requirements
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Proven knowledge of employment lifecycle
- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to effectively coach employees and management through complex and difficult issues
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
- Ability to set high personal goals, be technology intuitive and work independently
- Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize tasks
- Ability to make recommendations that resolve problems or issues
- Proven acuity in office applications, internet and database systems
- Must have valid Texas driver's license, motor vehicle liability insurance and personal injury insurance; or have a self-reliant source of transportation to conduct business on a daily basis
- Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance
- Must clear a pre-employment physical and a pre-employment drug screen test
- May be required to work a non-traditional schedule including late evening hours and weekend work
