Job Description SummaryThe Process Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers that are responsible for supporting the component manufacture of Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC’s) in Asheville, NC.
Job DescriptionDuties and Responsibilities:
- Mentor and grow a team of engineers that supports CMC process operations for all product lines (Commercial and Military)
- Drive a strong safety culture striving for the elimination of risks
- Drive APQP, NPI and MOC Activities in support of new and existing programs
- Drive goals in support of plant priorities
- Coaching team members in problem solving and standard work
- Serve as focal point for all technical & business entities related to objectives.
- Expense management for capital and consumable budget planning
- Responsible for component industrialization (yield, capacity and cost)
- Work boundlessly within the organization.
- Articulate progression of projects and/or programs to all facets of the business, including technicians, process engineers, site leadership & executive business leaders, ensuring efforts support business goals & objectives.
- Performs other duties as assigned/as needed to support 24x7 manufacturing processes.
- Work to ensure consistent and timely communication occurs (shop floor, project updates, timelines and escalations)
Required Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university(or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing)
- Minimum of 5 years of technical manufacturing experience
Desired Characteristics:
- Prefer a minimum of 10 years manufacturing experience.
- Experience supporting process improvements and industrialization.
- Experience with structured problem solving using lean methodology.
- Experience in managing or influencing teams.
- Strong history of delivering results
- Strong mathematical, analytical, communication & presentation skills.
- Ability to differentiate & manage competing priorities.
- Proven history of sense of urgency in supporting production needs.
- Ability & willingness to support 24x7 manufacturing facility.

- Proven track record of effective training & mentoring of others.
- Strong acumen in executive level communications & engagement
- Experience working cohesively with Certifying Agents, Controlled Title Holders and/or Leadership teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects with established project management skills.
