Full Job Description
Job Purpose:

The Process Engineer role involves establishing and evaluating manufacturing processes, with a strong
focus on soldering, conformal coating, potting processes, and fixture development and implementation.
Responsibilities:

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide programming support and technical assistance for manufacturing equipment.
Improve and implement operational methodologies, set up Design of Experiments (DOEs), and create reports and presentations.
Lead continuous improvement projects focused on defect reduction, pFMEAs, cost savings, and corrective and preventive action plans.
Support daily manufacturing production activities and processes by providing tooling and Design for Manufacturability feedback.

You will also monitor and improve process efficiencies and product manufacturing quality, and coordinate process resolution with team members, assuring the planned production output.
Provide technical leadership and training to production teams.
Work with the quality engineering team to manage non-conforming materials.
Analyze failures based on product drawings, product/process diagrams, layouts, and customer specifications.
Build positive relationships with customer staff to meet and exceed expectations.
Interact with production teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure real-time communication of potential Sanmina issues on the production line, including initiating the Sanmina escalation process as needed.
Support activities related to the customer's Quality Improvement Plan to align with Quality Metrics.

Education and Experience:
Competence Requirements:
PFMEAs, PPAP, Control Plans, process flow diagrams development
Understanding of quality methodologies, including measurement system analysis and statistical tools such as process control charts, SPC, GR&R, and CpKs
Understanding of problem-solving methodologies like 8D, fault tree analysis, and the 5 Whys
General knowledge of IPC-A-610 and JEDEC standards
General knowledge of manufacturing methods for electronic printed circuit board assemblies, modular assemblies, and complete systems including testing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Email)
Overall knowledge of the Agile application
IATF16949 standard and automotive quality management system is a plus.

Skills:
Ability to provide constructive feedback and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English, with strong attention to detail, flexibility, and prioritization
Team leadership skills, demonstrating reliability, initiative, and a desire to learn and teach
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule

Relevant Experience:

3+ years of experience in the electronics industry
Experience and knowledge of automotive quality management systems
Technical proficiency in electronics engineering applications
Green Belt certification in Six Sigma is preferable

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
English proficiency required

Salary Range(annual): $90,000 - $115,000 . Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
