Full Job Description
Direct the daily activities of Industrial / Manufacturing staff members to drive continuous improvement in all phases of the production cycle. Maximize manufacturing effectiveness through identification and elimination of major forms of waste. Identify root causes of performance gaps through use of Lean and Six Sigma tools. Formulate corrective action plans for improvement with area team members. Drive adherence to process and progress of all corrective action plans.

YOUR IMPACT
  • Provide leadership for assigned engineers and technicians
  • Complete annual performance reviews for assigned staff
  • Research and formulate plans to accomplish major projects, including manpower estimates, cost estimates and work measuring devices such as milestones or critical path charts.
  • Incorporate ergonomics into safety, productivity, and performance.
  • Monitor progress of major projects and make recommendations when needed including acquisition of capital equipment.
  • Develop proposals for production processes.
  • Support cost estimate activities for both new product lines and contract extensions.
  • Research and make recommendations on make or buy products.
  • Research and make recommendations for the acquisition of tooling, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Understand current safety and OSHA requirements pertaining to assembly operations.
  • Identify process improvements in the areas of safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Write assembly work processes and man assignment procedures.
  • Establish manpower requirements, line and sub-assembly balancing data, and expectancy time performances.
  • Assist in plant layout and work station design.
  • Plan, schedule, and prioritize work to meet established deadlines.
  • Provide technical support and assist as a resource person in assigned area.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 3 or more years related experience in automotive assembly operations with application of Lean and/or Six Sigma tools.


STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with JDE
  • Previous supervisory and/or manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with ProPlanner or related line balancing software packages.
  • Experience with automotive or heavy-duty equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Pay Range:
$82,900.00 - $134,300.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
