Full Job Description
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
• Lead the assessment, design, and implementation of production infrastructure, including end-to-end manufacturing process flows to support scalable operations.
• Own the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and production documentation lifecycle, including:

o Validation of Work Order (WO) Bills of Materials (BOMs) and generation of floor stock BOMs.

o Configuration and maintenance of Shop Floor Control systems.

o Development and control of production flow diagrams, server and rack manufacturing work instructions, pack-out procedures, and related manufacturing documentation.

o Creation of preliminary time studies and labor capacity models to support workforce planning.

o Design and specification of production tooling as required to meet manufacturing and quality objectives.
• Serve as the accountable owner for Change Order Management, including:

o Assessment, documentation, and communication of production floor and/or customer-driven changes.

o Administration and compliance control of Engineering Change Notice (ECN) and Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes.

o Management of Manufacturing Notice documentation and execution.

o Maintenance and update of all affected work instructions and controlled documents.

o Delivery of production training related to NPI launches, ongoing KPIs, and ECN/ECO changes.

o Preparation and presentation of detailed project status reports to internal cross-functional leadership and, when required, to customers.
• Collaborate closely with production management to ensure standardized processes are followed, identifying gaps and driving continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify operational vulnerabilities and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and throughput.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards by reviewing manufacturing practices and driving corrective actions where necessary.
• Address complex manufacturing and operational challenges requiring in-depth data analysis, exercising judgment across multiple variables, and influencing decisions with senior leadership across functions, divisions, and customer interfaces.
• Provide technical leadership by guiding project execution, performing advanced technical work, and establishing technical direction and strategy for self and others.
• Lead manufacturing readiness activities for new server and rack-level products.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering teams to ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles are incorporated.
• Identify process risks and implement mitigation plans prior to volume production.
• Travel regularly to manufacturing sites, suppliers, and partner facilities to deliver technical training programs.

Qualifications:
• BSME / BSIE Degree or 6-8 years of MFG / Process Engineering experience
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
• In-depth understanding of Manufacturing Processes
• Understanding of standard product development lifecycle
• Proficient in MS/Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Advanced Technical Writing/Presentation Skills
• Position requires up to 20% travel.
• Can lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred but not required:
• Liquid Cooling experience
• SolidWorks proficiency
• Experience with PFMEA and DFX
• Experience in NPI / Prototype Manufacturing environment
• Bilingual (English + Mandarin / Spanish)
