Process Engineer - Dry Etch

Job Description:

Process Engineer is responsible for sustaining existing product lines such as Photo Diodes, GaAs IC, Si Transistors, GaN/SiC, etc. and developing new processes in these areas in the MACOM wafer fab.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Sustains the dry etch area (RIE/ICP/CAIBE) to meet all factory indicators; plans and conducts experiments to fully characterize the process throughout the development cycle, drives improvements on quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability/capability, productivity and safety/ergonomic over variables such as material, method, equipment, environment and operating personnel.
• Successful candidate develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving tools.

Job Qualifications:
• BS or MS degree in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in semiconductor process engineering.
• Specific experience in plasma etch technology - RIE / ICP
• Specific semiconductor skills include solid understanding of data mining and statistics, SPC and DOE, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving.
• Must have a proven track record of solving technical problems, project ownership, meeting deadlines, and multitasking.
• Must display strong sense of ownership, enthusiasm, optimism, drive, and dedication to the improvement of the process area.
• The ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams to improve processes.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including technical writing for summarizing data and findings, writing process and equipment specifications and work instructions.
• Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.

RSU Eligible

This position is eligible to receive restricted stock unit (RSU) awards and cash bonuses, solely at MACOM's discretion, subject to individual and company performance.

Salary Range

The Salary Range for this position is $80,000 - $112,000. Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates' experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
