ProAdminProduct Specialist

Job Summary:
WinTech is seeking an experienced Defined Benefit (DB) professional to join our team. In this role, you will be involved in multiple aspects of the business, including providing product support and training, testing, and assisting clients with implementing ProAdmin solutions. 

Our product suite includes:

  • ProAdmin- a robust suite of defined benefit administration tools known as ProAdminDesktop and ProAdminServer. These tools are targeted to outsourcers, corporationsand actuaries. ProAdminallows benefit analysts to “code” complex plan provisions without the need for programmers. ProAdminServer incorporates the ProAdmincalculation engine into the client’s existing architecture, such as a participant website, voice response system, call center system, etc. 

  • ProVal- the global standard in pension valuation and forecasting, used by both actuaries and asset managers

  • ProValPS– a desktop toolkit for plan sponsors which complements ProVal

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced defined benefit professional looking to apply theirexpertiseat the leading actuarial software provider. This unique role allows candidates to work remotely from any location within the United States, with visits to our Connecticut office as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing & Quality Assurance:Conduct testing of ProAdminenhancements and client solutions (e.g.complete alpha testing, complete assigned beta testing for each release, reviewing interface changes, calculation results, and help features, Incorporate additional testing scenarios). 

  • Client Support & Consulting:Assist ProAdminusers by providingexpert advice, troubleshooting issues, and documenting best practiceswhile supporting the completeProAdminsuite of offerings, ProAdminDesktop, Server, Online and Fulfillment Tool.

  • Client Engagement:Configure client DB plans using ProAdminDesktop, ensuring seamless integration and installation, and collaborate with internal teams and clients to manage projects effectively.

  • Training:Verify ProAdmin training manual changes, participate in ProAdmin web training development, participate in user training (both onsite and virtually).

  • Development& Programming:Participate in the design of ProAdmin enhancements based on user requests, regulatory updates, and technological advancements. If interested, work under the guidance of senior programmers to implement enhancements (ProAdmin uses APL; programming experience is not required.).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, or a related field. Actuarial credentials are a plus.

  • 5+ years in DB outsourcing or DB valuation

  • Expertise in DB plan document interpretation and setup

  • Mastery of actuarial concepts and benefit calculations – (e.g data storage, retrieval, and updates; user interface development; output of results; software updates)

  • Experience with DB administration workflows in outsourcing and client environments

  • Previous experience with development of general benefit calculation tools

  • Expertise of creation of participant forms and letters

  • Knowledge of current US defined benefit administration rules, regulations and calculations

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to create a spreadsheet (or a program) to perform benefit calculations without using templates or utility functions: annuity factors (i.e., find and apply actuarial formulas); complex salary, final average salary, and service calculations

  • Strong mathematical and logical problem-solving abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project)

  • SQL or database experience is an asset

  • Experience with ProAdmin or ProVal is an asset

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and documentation abilities

  • High attention to detail

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Experience managing client projects and relationships is an asset

Exempt

Salary Range:

The estimated base salary range for this role is USD$108,000.00 - USD$132,000.00 per year. We include salary ranges in job postings only where required by applicable pay transparency laws, based on the jurisdictions in which the role may be performed. The posted range is a good faith estimate and reflects factors that are subject to change. Final offer amounts may vary based on job-related factors, including work location, candidate experience and expertise, and other relevant considerations.

Other Compensation (US Only):

This role will also be eligible for participation in a Company profit sharing bonus plan. Plan details will be provided to you upon hire.
