Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Process capital calls and distributions efficiently.
  • Resolve aged items on cash and position reconciliations promptly.
  • Prepare net asset value calculations and financial statements.
  • Calculate fees and allocate profits and losses accurately.
  • Create and maintain waterfall structures for fund distributions.
  • Compile performance reports, including internal rate of return (IRR) metrics.
  • Assist in audit processes to facilitate timely fund audit completions.

Full Job Description
This role will be hybrid in either our New York, NY, Dallas, TX or Raleigh, NC office. Visa sponsorship will not be offered at this time. Job Description A Private Equity Supervisor is required to execute their role within the guidelines and procedures provided by HedgeServ and under the supervision and guidance of a Private Equity Manager and Director. The Private Equity Supervisor will receive the requisite Induction Training in addition to both compulsory (AML/KYC) and optional training. Additional client-specific training will be provided by the Private Equity Manager and or Director. Role Responsibilities The below list is not finite and may be added to. The combination of tasks required to be executed will vary depending on both client structure, client requirements and business needs and will include: • Capital Call and Distribution Processing • Ensure all aged items on cash and position reconciliations are resolved in a timely manner • Preparation of net asset value calculations and financial statements • Fee calculations and profit and loss allocations • Waterfall creation and maintenance • Performance reporting including IRRs • Ad hoc client and investor reporting • Assist in the audit process to help ensure the timely and successful completion of fund audits • Supervise a team of up to four Private Equity accountants facilitating their ongoing development • Resolve fund accounting enquiries escalated by the Administrator • Assist in managing client relationships involving interaction with both the client and the and management to ensure consistency of service • Develop and improve workflows and procedures • Play a role in client onboarding and transitions HedgeServ operates a client focused structure which provides a wide range of experience to all levels of employees. As such a Private Equity Supervisor should be flexible and willing to adapt. Pre-requisite Knowledge, Skills and Experience • 3+ years’ experience working in the Finance sector. Advantage if either at an Administrator, Auditor, or Investment Manager • Private Equity experience is not required but is a plus • Hedge fund experience is an advantage • Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Business Degree • Intention to actively pursue a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA), if not already started, part qualified or qualified, would be an advantage but is not required • Positive attitude and willingness to learn HedgeServ proprietary systems • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong attention to detail and well organized • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to be flexible and work effectively both within a team structure or independently • Ability to positively influence team morale • Ability to coach and mentor junior employees and share knowledge and information across the team • Act as a role model for HedgeServ The salary range for this role is $100,000-115,000. Specific salary will be determined based on education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
