Full Job Description
Position Overview:

Wintrust Bank is looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial senior level banker to join our Wealth Services team. The right individual will have 7+ years of experience cultivating new client relationships and actively strengthening existing client relationships through customized banking and lending solutions.

This specific role collaborates with related internal partners across all lines of business to identify and bring focus to the lending and deposit needs of private clients.

What you'll do:

  • Maintain and develop existing portfolio by assessing and supporting all banking and customized lending solution needs of high-net-worth clients with the ultimate goal of profitable growth.
  • Explore new opportunities to develop relationships through creative solutions that can be both credit and non-credit and also through leveraging other business partners.
  • Negotiate proper loan structure and effectively cross sell products
  • Maintains comprehensive understanding of current lending products offered in the market and keeps informed of all relevant industry trends and practices.
  • Ensure consistency in deal structuring to bridge client needs to appropriate risk mitigation through detailed analysis and credit underwriting. Responsibilities may include presenting at Loan Committee and acting as quarterback to drive deals through the underwriting and closing process.
  • Maintain properly documented files and manage renewals and collection efforts on past dues and defaulted loans
  • Collaborate with peers, and mentor junior team members, as part of a team to ensure delivery of superior client service.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience developing and managing relationships with high-net-worth clients plus hands-on experience in applying deep credit expertise, working knowledge of investment portfolios and trust solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment, introducing the appropriate partners and suite of investment, trust, and banking solutions to high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions.
  • Ability to apply credit expertise, identify risk and complete necessary analysis and documentation to achieve credit actions
  • Formal credit training a plus
  • College Degree / Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products

The estimated salary range for this role is $117,000 - $158,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
