Join a Firmwide Privacy Office and help shape the future of privacy at a leading global financial institution. In this role, you will lead critical initiatives that protect clients and enable data-driven business outcomes. You will navigate complex privacy and data protection regulations and deliver meaningful impact across the firm. As a Privacy Program Director in the Firmwide Privacy Office, you build and lead the privacy-and-data regulatory change management program capability for the Chief Data and Analytics Office. You work closely with stakeholders across business, technology, legal, and compliance to implement privacy strategies and respond to regulatory events using legal and regulatory change management methodologies. You drive alignment across stakeholders and lead priority regulatory change projects.

Job responsibilities
  • Lead Firmwide Privacy Office support to the Chief Data and Analytics Office regulatory change management practice for privacy and data
  • Lead key regulatory change management projects in partnership with stakeholders across the firm
  • Support the firm’s Data Regulatory Affairs function on privacy and data topics
  • Develop and maintain governance documentation, standards, and procedures
  • Lead and support projects that enhance the firm’s privacy program
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver complex initiatives
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Ten years of experience in privacy and data protection law and/or privacy program leadership in a complex organization
  • Deep knowledge of global privacy and data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA)
  • Experience assessing new privacy regulatory requirements
  • Experience with legal and regulatory change management or adjacent regulatory programs
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage relationships across multiple functions and regions
  • Strong judgment with strong communication and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication with stakeholder management and project leadership skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience in privacy or data protection at a financial institution
  • Familiarity with the three lines of defense risk management model
  • Professional certifications in privacy (for example, CIPP/E, CIPP/US, or CIPM)
  • Experience partnering with regulatory affairs or government relations teams
  • Demonstrated capability supporting enterprise positions on industry standards and external developments in privacy and data
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence, data governance, and emerging technology regulatory topics
