Our customer,
a leading sports technology company, is seeking a
Privacy & Technology Counsel to support their legal team on a remote basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of
data privacy and experience negotiating commercial contracts, including MSAs,
SaaS/Technology agreements, customer agreements, government contracts, and vendor contracts.
Location: Remote, US
Duration: 5 months
Hours: 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:- Review, draft, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements.
- Negotiate customer addenda, including agreements with school districts, educational institutions, and government entities.
- Support vendor contracts, MSAs, SaaS agreements, hardware procurement agreements, and related commercial transactions.
- Advise on data privacy, AI, and technology-related contractual provisions.
- Work closely with sales and business stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Utilize tools such as Ironclad, Harvey, and other legal technology platforms to support contract workflows.
Qualifications:- JD with active bar license in the US.
- 5+ years of experience negotiating commercial contracts, such as MSAs, SaaS agreements, customer agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Proven support for SaaS, software, cloud, hardware, or technology-enabled businesses.
- Strong knowledge of data privacy frameworks and technology-related contracting issues, including customer data, vendor risk, and compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage high-volume contract negotiations and collaborate effectively with sales and business stakeholders.
Ideal Background- Strong experience negotiating commercial contracts and MSAs.
- Experience supporting SaaS, software, hardware, and technology businesses.
- Familiarity with data privacy and AI-related contractual issues.
- Comfortable negotiating customer paper and procurement-driven contract terms.
- Experience partnering with sales organizations and business teams.
- Previous in-house technology company experience is highly preferred.
