About the RoleThe Privacy and Product Counsel handles a wide variety of legal matters for Bonterra, with a focus on privacy, data protection, and AI compliance. This position will report to the General Counsel.
You will join a creative, collaborative, solutions-oriented team. We are looking for a proactive attorney who can design effective and scalable processes while employing an empathetic interpersonal style that can build bridges across stakeholders. This is a new role on the team, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable establishing this function both on the team and in the company.
The ideal candidate will in the past have had success: (1) managing multiple projects/deals and driving them to completion autonomously within required timeframes; (2) figuring things out even without prior (or direct) experience in that area; (3) developing trusted partnerships within your team and with key stakeholders; (4) identifying use cases that could benefit from repeatable processes and proposing what those processes could look like (and how they could be adopted), especially for product and privacy/data protection processes; and (5) approaching situations and people with curiosity and willingness to learn, commit, and contribute to solving for immediate as well as long-term solutions.
