Full Job Description
Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Principal for the Architecture and Urbanism (A&U) division of the Global Business Area Places. This position will report to the Business Unit Director, Canada East. The successful candidate will collaborate with other leaders to help grow the Workplace in line with GAU Division strategy and financial targets, with a focus on operational efficiency and workforce optimization.

Role accountabilities:
  • Lead client relationship management for workplace/interiors projects, serving as a trusted advisor to key accounts.
  • Drive business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities, expanding existing client relationships, and building a strong market presence.
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies aligned with office and regional business goals.
  • Represent the firm in industry events, networking opportunities, and client presentations.
  • Collaborate with design and delivery teams to position the firm for pursuits, proposals, interviews, and strategic wins.
  • Provide leadership in market strategy, revenue generation, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Professional degree in Architecture or Interior design, and an active professional license
  • Substantial experience (18 years or more) in a discipline, including 10+ years' experience in an Interior Architecture consultancy, workplace design leadership.
  • Strong network and demonstrated success in client development and revenue generation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and align business development with project delivery excellence.
  • Strong understanding of the workplace sector, market trends, and client expectations.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $147,000 - $220,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
