Essential Responsibilities:Leadership & School Culture- Provide strategic leadership that supports the mission, vision, and values of LifeWorks Day School.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered school culture.
- Promote high expectations for academic performance, behavior, and professional excellence.
- Build strong relationships with students, families, staff, community partners, and stakeholders.
Instructional Leadership- Lead curriculum implementation and instructional improvement efforts.
- Monitor student achievement data and develop strategies to improve academic outcomes.
- Support teachers through coaching, observation, feedback, and professional development.
- Ensure instructional practices meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Student Support & Behavioral Programming- Oversee programs that address students' academic, behavioral, and counseling needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized student supports.
- Ensure compliance with applicable educational regulations, policies, and student service requirements.
- Promote restorative and proactive approaches to student behavior and engagement.
Staff Development & Management- Recruit, supervise, evaluate, and support faculty and staff.
- Cultivate a collaborative professional learning environment.
- Lead staff meetings, professional development initiatives, and performance management processes.
- Encourage continuous improvement and innovation in teaching and learning.
Operations & Compliance- Manage daily school operations to ensure a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment.
- Ensure compliance with state, local, and organizational policies and procedures.
- Oversee school budgets, resources, and operational planning.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting requirements.
Family & Community Engagement- Serve as a visible and accessible leader within the school community.
- Develop strong partnerships with parents, guardians, and community organizations.
- Communicate effectively regarding school initiatives, student progress, and school events.
- Advocate for the needs and success of students and families.

Qualifications Required- Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Special Education, School Administration, or a related field.
- Valid Pennsylvania Principal Certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Minimum of five years of educational leadership experience, preferably in a special education, alternative education, therapeutic, or non-public school setting.
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
- Strong knowledge of educational regulations, student support services, and instructional best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and positive behavioral interventions.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and individualized educational programming.
- Proven success in improving student outcomes and fostering positive school culture.
