Full Job Description
When a human looks at a picture of an item, they can easily identify what the item is and understand how to pick it up. Robots and every fulfillment process from procurement through delivery rely on an understanding of an item's physical characteristics to make efficient fulfillment decisions. Our vision is to teach our systems to do what comes naturally to humans- identify items, describe them, and make fast, informed choices. To solve these challenges at scale, we leverage a rich set of data including measurements, images, point clouds, and beyond. We then use a variety of techniques including computer vision, machine learning, and advanced statistics to create actionable insights for automated decision making and improved customer experience.
A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. You will have an established background in developing customer-facing experiences, strong technical capabilities, great leadership communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment. You will be experienced influencing without authority, exercising high judgment, and negotiating appropriate tradeoffs. As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management and balance business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces is expected. You will develop functional specifications and work with tech teams to evolve new capabilities from prototypes to production systems.
