The ideal candidate will have expertise in Oracle Database administration, Oracle SQL, Oracle rack-based hardware, Linux, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), enterprise automation, high-availability architectures, secure B2B data exchange, and enterprise networking. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and integrity of distributed applications and database platforms supporting global operations.

The successful candidate will be equally comfortable designing new infrastructure, automating deployments, troubleshooting complex production issues, and collaborating with development teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering
  • Design, deploy, maintain, and enhance highly available enterprise infrastructure supporting business-critical applications.
  • Administer Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including:
    • Virtual Machines
    • Bare Metal Compute
    • Load Balancers
    • Block Volumes
    • Object Storage
    • Identity & Access Management (IAM)
    • High Availability architectures
  • Support cloud migration initiatives.
  • Design clustering, load balancing, gateway, and failover solutions that eliminate single points of failure.
  • Manage enterprise storage, including ZFS, block storage, and object storage.
  • Support virtualized and bare-metal environments.
  • Configure and integrate Oracle Identity Cloud Service (IDCS).


Oracle Database Administration
  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle Database environments.
  • Perform backup and recovery using Oracle RMAN.
  • Administer Oracle Grid Infrastructure.
  • Perform database upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
  • Support Oracle PL/SQL applications and Oracle SQL development.


Data Engineering & Integration
  • Design and maintain XML data integration pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain XSD schema validation frameworks.
  • Modify and enhance XSLT transformation processes.
  • Ensure data integrity across enterprise data exchange workflows.
  • Support secure B2B integrations with external partners.


Containers, Automation & DevOps
  • Deploy and administer containerized applications using Docker and Podman.
  • Troubleshoot container networking, permissions, and rootless container implementations.
  • Develop infrastructure automation using Ansible.
  • Automate operating system provisioning and Oracle database deployments.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git repositories.
  • Develop Linux shell scripting solutions.


Monitoring & Operations
  • Maintain enterprise monitoring platforms including Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch.
  • Monitor application performance and system health.
  • Support incident management, root cause analysis, disaster recovery planning, and testing.
  • Maintain and configure deployed environments.
  • Configure and support Spring Framework, Spring Beans, and Spring Boot application environments.


Global Production Support
  • Provide Tier-3 support for mission-critical production systems.
  • Support geographically distributed manufacturing locations.
  • Coordinate with developers, infrastructure teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Produce technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Mentor team members as appropriate.


Required Qualifications
  • Extensive Oracle Database Administration experience.
  • Strong Oracle SQL and Linux administration experience.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Experience designing highly available enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical production systems.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation.
  • Experience with XML, XSD, and XSLT technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Oracle rack-based hardware and enterprise networking.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,900 to $187,000 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
