We are looking for a Principal Software Development Engineer to join our Zero Trust Exchange department in a hybrid capacity at our San Jose, CA office, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Software Development Engineering. In this role, you will implement high-impact ZCC tunnel features that enhance connectivity and security for our global user base. Additionally, you will lead the modularization of existing code into libraries to improve system maintainability and architectural stability. What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) • Strong C, C++, or Rust development experience • Experience with both Windows & macOS Client Development • Robust networking knowledge and engineering experience • Demonstrated experience utilizing AI models for debugging and code generation What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) • Experience working within the Client VPN space • Advanced expertise in networking architectures and C++ or Rust development • Strong experience working with AI agents #LI-JM1 #LI-Hybrid Zscaler's salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
