Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Supply Chain Manager to lead strategic supply chain initiatives supporting Oracle's rapidly expanding global data center infrastructure.

As a recognized subject matter expert, this individual will drive sourcing strategy, supplier engagement, capacity planning, commercial negotiations, and supply assurance for the critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure required to build and operate OCI's next-generation cloud data centers.

This role will partner closely with Data Center Engineering, Construction, Capacity Planning, Finance, Global Procurement, Manufacturing Operations, Logistics, and executive leadership to ensure long-term supply continuity and successful deployment of Oracle's global cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate combines deep supply chain expertise with strong business acumen, commercial negotiation skills, and experience managing strategic supplier relationships in support of hyperscale infrastructure deployments.

Responsibilities

Strategic Supply Chain Leadership

  • Develop and execute sourcing and supply chain strategies for critical data center infrastructure supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's global expansion.


  • Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for infrastructure supply chain planning and execution.


  • Drive strategic initiatives that improve supply assurance, cost competitiveness, operational resilience, and scalability.


  • Influence cross-functional decisions through data-driven analysis, industry knowledge, and strong stakeholder partnerships.


  • Lead complex initiatives spanning multiple business organizations without direct management responsibility.


Infrastructure Planning & Capacity Strategy

  • Partner with Capacity Planning and Data Center Engineering to align procurement strategies with OCI's infrastructure roadmap.


  • Develop long-range demand forecasts for critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure.


  • Monitor supplier capacity, market conditions, and long lead-time components to proactively mitigate supply constraints.


  • Support infrastructure planning activities for new data center builds and regional expansion.


  • Recommend inventory and capacity reservation strategies to support deployment schedules.


Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

Develop sourcing strategies and supplier relationships for mission-critical infrastructure including: Chillers, Cooling systems, Cooling towers, HVAC equipment, CRAH/CRAC systems, Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Switchgear, Transformers, Backup generators, Busway systems, UPS systems, Prefabricated electrical and mechanical modules and Data center construction materials .

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with global suppliers and manufacturing partners.


  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, manufacturing capacity, financial health, and risk profiles.


  • Support supplier selection, qualification, and performance management activities.


  • Identify opportunities to diversify supply sources and improve supply chain resilience.


  • Drive supplier performance improvements related to quality, delivery, capacity, innovation, and cost.


Commercial Strategy

  • Lead negotiations for complex commercial agreements supporting OCI infrastructure investments.


  • Negotiate pricing, capacity reservations, long-term supply agreements, warranties, and service contracts.


  • Develop commercial strategies that balance total cost of ownership with long-term supply assurance.


  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Procurement to structure commercial agreements that mitigate risk and support Oracle's growth objectives.


  • Analyze market trends, supplier economics, and commodity dynamics to inform sourcing decisions.


Cross-Functional Leadership

Collaborate closely with: Data Center Engineering, Construction, Supply Planning, Manufacturing Operations, Logistics, Capacity Planning, Finance, Global Procurement and Cloud Infrastructure Operations

Responsibilities include:

  • Align procurement activities with evolving technical requirements and deployment schedules.


  • Support executive reviews with supply chain insights, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.


  • Influence infrastructure sourcing decisions through technical and commercial expertise.


  • Coordinate cross-functional execution across multiple concurrent infrastructure programs.


Operational Excellence

  • Develop metrics and dashboards measuring supplier performance, procurement execution, forecast accuracy, inventory health, and deployment readiness.


  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing, planning, and procurement processes.


  • Improve forecasting methodologies and long-range planning capabilities.


  • Support digital transformation initiatives through automation, analytics, and process optimization.


  • Recommend best practices that improve scalability and operational efficiency.


Risk Management

  • Assess risks related to supplier concentration, manufacturing capacity, transportation, geopolitical events, and commodity markets.


  • Develop contingency sourcing strategies for critical infrastructure components.


  • Monitor global supply chain trends and recommend proactive mitigation strategies.


  • Support business continuity planning during supply disruptions and market volatility.


  • Provide executive-level reporting on supply chain risks and recommended actions.


Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 12+ years of experience in global supply chain, strategic sourcing, procurement, infrastructure planning, manufacturing, or operations.


  • Demonstrated experience supporting hyperscale cloud infrastructure, large-scale data center construction, or other mission-critical infrastructure programs.


  • Proven experience sourcing mechanical and electrical infrastructure equipment for complex capital projects.


  • Experience negotiating large-scale commercial agreements with global suppliers.


  • Demonstrated success leading highly visible cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.


  • Experience partnering with engineering, construction, manufacturing, and operations organizations to deliver complex infrastructure programs.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with hyperscale cloud providers or large technology infrastructure organizations.


  • Strong knowledge of global manufacturing, supplier capacity planning, and infrastructure procurement.


  • Experience with long lead-time equipment planning and capital project supply chain management.


  • Understanding of global logistics, trade compliance, and supplier risk management.


  • Familiarity with ERP, procurement, and supply planning systems (Oracle Fusion Cloud, SAP, Kinaxis, or similar).


  • MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field is preferred.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $102,300 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
