Position Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and build large scale cloud networks. Design networking for large-scale web and mobile applications feature cloud-native components and micro-services architectures. Produce whitepapers, blogs, architecture diagrams and other resources for customers on AWS cloud networks. Develop best practices for designing, building, and running cloud networks for resilience, observability, and security. Translate business requirements into software outcomes, influencing customer cloud networks and AWS Networking products roadmap. Design solutions and enhancements for hyperscale cloud networking services to solve for future challenges such as IPv6 migration (IPv4 exhaustion), terabit scale throughput, and post-quantum encrypted networks. Train and mentor next generation of peers and customers on cloud networking concepts.
40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range: $210,200/year to $284,300/year.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering, or a related field and seven years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or another related occupation. Must have five years of experience in the following skills: (1) hands-on expertise in at least one specific technology domain area: (a) software development, (b) cloud computing, (c) systems engineering, (d) infrastructure, (e) security, (f) networking, or (g) data & analytics; (2) experience architecting and implementing enterprise-scale networks; (3) experience with network virtualization and software defined networks; (4) experience with IPv4 and IPv6 protocols and standards; (5) experience with layer 2 technologies, including MPLS and Ethernet; and (6) experience with routing protocols.#0000
