Principal Solution Architect
Job DescriptionEngineers on the AI Maestro platform team build shared services, APIs, and infrastructure that other teams use to build customer-facing products. Because the platform layer is a critical dependency, a defect or design flaw here propagates into every product built on top of it. This is why the team holds itself to a high quality bar - and why that bar starts with the people it hires.
The most senior individual-contributor engineering role, responsible for org-wide architecture, standards, and technical vision. Principal Software Engineers solve ambiguous business problems through technology and set the engineering bar for the entire organization.
- Build and own org-wide architecture spanning multiple teams and platform components
- Solve ambiguous business problems by applying technology strategically
- Establish testing and evaluation standards organization-wide, including standards for AI-assisted code
- Define architecture standards and scaling strategy across multiple teams
- Set org-wide security policy and secure engineering practices
- Drive org-wide collaboration and code review culture
- Establish incident response processes and operational standards across the organization
- Establish org-wide patterns for GenAI system design, evaluation, and safety
- Influence without direct authority, building trust and technical credibility across the organization
- Balance long-term technical vision with organizational business need
Qualifications:- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of org-wide technical leadership
- Demonstrated experience defining architecture standards and technical strategy across multiple teams
- Experience establishing engineering-wide standards for security, testing, and operational excellence
- Deep expertise in GenAI/LLM system design, including safety, evaluation, and organizational best practices
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive technical decisions without direct authority
- History of setting technical vision that balances long-term investment with business needs
