Based in Huntsville, AL, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels. This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options. Position Overview: The C2BMC program is a key component of the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that allows leadership to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor the battle, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities across all ranges and flight phases, serving as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations 6both globally and regionally. It is essential for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate current and future missile defense capabilities. Within this mission, the Regional Applications Agile Release Train (RA ART) of the C2BMC National Team (C2BMC NT) delivers critical software capabilities across multiple product teams and development sites. We are seeking a SW CI/CD Engineer to drive standardization, automation, and security across our software delivery pipelines, enabling rapid, reliable, and secure delivery of capabilities to the warfighter. Essential Functions: As a member of the Regional Applications Agile Release Train (RA ART), the selected candidate will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and evolving a standardized CI/CD pipeline to support multiple product teams across two development sites. Key responsibilities include: ullet Design, implement, and maintain a standardized CI/CD pipeline for use by all Product Teams within the RA ART, ensuring consistency, reliability, and scalability across multiple software releases and build versions ullet Work across the RA ART and closely with the Cyber and Platforms ARTs to ensure that CI/CD tools, integrations, and configurations meet security, compliance, and performance requirements ullet Integrate and manage core DevSecOps tools (e.g., Git, Nexus, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence) to support automated build, test, integration, and deployment workflows in classified environments ullet Implement and support Linux-based system administration and system security controls required for CI/CD infrastructure, including hardening, patching, and compliance with program security requirements ullet Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts and Ansible playbooks to automate configuration, provisioning, deployment, and monitoring of CI/CD infrastructure and applications ullet Administer and manage Security-Enhanced (SE) Linux and Red Hat repositories to support secure software builds and deployments ullet Collaborate closely with system administrators, IT, and security personnel to troubleshoot issues, resolve integration challenges, and continuously improve pipeline performance and reliability ullet Present regular, clear status updates on pipeline health, tool performance, ongoing work, risks, and issue resolution to RA leadership and other stakeholders ullet Support Agile development practices within the RA ART, participating in relevant Agile ceremonies and contributing to continuous improvement of CI/CD and DevSecOps practices Basic Qualifications: Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable. ullet A Bachelor 2 Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, DevOps Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master 2 degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree ullet Applicants must have a current, active Government-Issued 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.) at the time of application, which is required to start. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
