The Impact You Will Have in This Role

The IT FinSight Delivery team supports the development and delivery of technology solutions across DTCC's core business lines. As a Principal Scrum Master, you will lead Agile delivery for complex initiatives, enabling high-performing teams to deliver business value through collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

This role serves as a trusted Agile leader, coach, and servant leader who drives execution across cross-functional teams while promoting Agile best practices, delivery predictability, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement. You will partner closely with Product Owners, technology teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

As a senior member of the Agile community, you will mentor teams, foster Agile maturity, remove impediments, manage dependencies, and help build a culture of accountability, transparency, and innovation.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

Agile Leadership & Delivery Excellence
  • Champion Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement across squads.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Scrum of Scrums.
  • Coach Product Owners and teams on backlog management, prioritization, and Agile best practices.
  • Remove impediments, manage dependencies, and drive delivery alignment across teams.
  • Promote team accountability, self-organization, and sustainable delivery practices.

Stakeholder & Delivery Management
  • Partner with Product Owners, business leaders, and technology teams to align priorities and objectives.
  • Provide transparent reporting on delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and key metrics.
  • Support release planning, roadmap execution, and strategic delivery initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure successful delivery within agreed timelines.

Coaching & Servant Leadership
  • Act as a trusted coach for Product Owners, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration, trust, and effective communication across distributed teams.
  • Mentor Scrum Masters and contribute to the broader Agile community.
  • Drive Agile adoption and organizational transformation initiatives.

Governance, Risk & Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure Agile delivery processes align with organizational standards and governance requirements.
  • Monitor, manage, and mitigate delivery risks and impediments.
  • Leverage tools such as Jira and PPM to track delivery progress and maintain delivery transparency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, delivery practices, and team effectiveness.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in Agile delivery, Scrum Master, Program Delivery, Project Management, or related roles.

  • Ability to influence teams and drive organizational change without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Experience serving as both Scrum Master and Product Owner proxy in Agile environments.
  • Experience supporting cloud transformation, application modernization, or digital initiatives.
  • Financial services, capital markets, or other highly regulated industry experience.
  • Experience mentoring Scrum Masters and leading Agile maturity initiatives.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
