Join our team as a global Subject Matter Expert in rotating equipment, leading technical initiatives and CAPEX projects across all business segments. In this role, you will drive innovation, reliability, and performance in mechanical systems while shaping engineering standards and mentoring cross-functional teams. Reporting to the Director of Design for Reliability, you’ll play a critical role in setting best practices and delivering sustainable solutions that impact operations worldwide.
As a Principal Rotating Equipment Engineer with deep expertise in rotating equipment will lead global technical initiatives and CAPEX projects across all business segments. As the Subject Matter Expert, you will drive innovation, reliability, and performance in mechanical systems while shaping engineering standards and mentoring cross-functional teams. You will report to the Director, Design for Reliability.
What you will do:
Lead the design, analysis, prototyping, and testing of mechanical components and systems.
Develop and implement global engineering standards for process equipment design, fabrication, and maintenance.
Support CAPEX project execution from concept through installation and commissioning.
Apply “Design for Reliability” principles to ensure robust and sustainable equipment performance.
Evaluate engineering calculations, specifications, and datasheets to deliver complete technical definitions for rotating equipment.
Conduct technical bid evaluations, supplier selection, and oversee vendor engagement, design reviews, and inspections.
Contribute to maintenance programs, Best Operating Practices (BOP), and critical routines to optimize reliability.

Who you are:
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering.
10+ years of mechanical design experience, including CAD modeling (e.g., SolidWorks) and FEA.
Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and large-scale project execution.
Knowledge of rotating equipment, reliability principles, and international engineering standards.
Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement certification preferred.

Pay Range:
$123,500.00-$164,700.00 Annual
This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
