Overview

We are seeking a motivated Principal Quality Control Engineer – Electrical Inspector to contribute to our mission supporting our work at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions in Aiken, SC.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop, revise, and perform peer reviews of Quality Control Inspection Plans related to electrical and I&C, in accordance with Design Output documents, Codes, and Standards.
  • Perform field related inspections in accordance with Quality Control Inspection Plans.
  • Document inspection results on applicable inspection records and issue non-conformance reports as required.
  • Review product and process compliance with all specified drawings, specifications, and other requirements through inspection and/or review of supplied materials and equipment
Education and Licensure
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and at least 8 - 10 years of practical experience in construction inspection or related areas OR
  • An associate's degree and 10 - 12 years of practical experience would be considered equivalent OR
  • A high school diploma and 12 - 16 years of practical experience would also be considered equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications and Location Details

  • Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.
  • Practical field experience in electrical and instrumentation and controls (I&C) quality control within the last 16 months.
  • Duration of the Contract: 1 year, (2) 1 year option periods
  • Mon-Thurs 6:00a-4:30p
  • Projects Supported: SPD/K-PuMP project
  • Onsite or Remote? 100% Onsite. Local candidates or willing to relocate at the candidate's expense.
