OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Principal Quality Control Engineer – Electrical Inspector to contribute to our mission supporting our work at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions in Aiken, SC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, revise, and perform peer reviews of Quality Control Inspection Plans related to electrical and I&C, in accordance with Design Output documents, Codes, and Standards.
- Perform field related inspections in accordance with Quality Control Inspection Plans.
- Document inspection results on applicable inspection records and issue non-conformance reports as required.
- Review product and process compliance with all specified drawings, specifications, and other requirements through inspection and/or review of supplied materials and equipment
Education and Licensure
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and at least 8 - 10 years of practical experience in construction inspection or related areas OR
- An associate's degree and 10 - 12 years of practical experience would be considered equivalent OR
- A high school diploma and 12 - 16 years of practical experience would also be considered equivalent.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications

- Well developed organizational and supervisory skills and good communication talents are required.
- Prior work experience working under an ASME NQA-1 quality program.
- Prior DOE work experience.
- Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance if required.
- Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications and Location Details
- Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.
- Practical field experience in electrical and instrumentation and controls (I&C) quality control within the last 16 months.
- Duration of the Contract: 1 year, (2) 1 year option periods
- Mon-Thurs 6:00a-4:30p
- Projects Supported: SPD/K-PuMP project
- Onsite or Remote? 100% Onsite. Local candidates or willing to relocate at the candidate's expense.
