How You'll Make an Impact

The Principal Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst FCC is responsible for defining, implementing and continuously improving policies, processes and procedures that deliver consistent and reliable products and services to business and customers. This role creates, executes and documents the tests necessary to ensure that application and technical environment meets performance requirements and freedom from defects. The Principal QA Analyst ensures that quality standards are met and adhered to by using their knowledge and quality assurance methods, tools and techniques. The role will resolve, document, and report to management quality problems that arise and assure projects meet quality standards by planning, designing and executing testing and developing procedures relating to product quality within multiple projects or a single complex project.

What You Will Do
  • Design, document, and execute test cases for functional, regression, system integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using multiple automation frameworks
  • Conduct exploratory and ad-hoc testing for new features and releases
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the automated testing framework
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Automate API test cases and validate data consistency across systems
  • Design and execute test cases for RESTful and SOAP APIs
  • Identify, log, and track software defects using Jira and Zephyr
  • Participate in defect triage meetings and support root cause analysis
  • Work closely with development teams in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Provide clear and concise test reports and quality metrics to stakeholders
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos
  • Promote QA best practices and participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging tools, and testing methodologies


What We're Looking For
  • 5 Years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a combination of manual and automated testing.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience using one or more test automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress etc )
  • 3+ year of experience in API testing (manual and automated)
  • Experience with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java.
  • Familiarity with version control systems preferably GitHub.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation.
  • 3 Years of industry experience in the Financial Services or Wealth Management
  • Experience with Broadridge Dataphile would be an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in scrum/Agile and understands business requirements or user stories
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies in Agile.
  • Multi-tasker, ability to manage multiple deliverables at once.
  • Strong relationship builder - developers, BSAs, SMEs, Scrum Masters and PMs.


Nice to Have
  • Experience in performance testing (JMeter or k6)
  • Experience in Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber or similar tools
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture


Education
  • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • ISTQB certification would be an asset
