Work Environment: Hybrid (office/remote) in Vancouver, BC, with regional travel (NW BC).
Standard Schedule: 7.5 hours daily (M-F), additional hours as required.
Compensation: $150,000 - $185,500 + additional cash incentives

Job SummaryInitially reporting to the General Manager, the
Principal Process Engineer provides technical leadership across all metallurgical, mineral processing, geometallurgical, and process engineering activities. The role is responsible for advancing the metallurgical aspects of the Project through all stages of development, including metallurgical test work programs, process design, engineering studies, project economics, and operational readiness planning.
The role will be a hybrid work arrangement (office/remote) based in Vancouver, BC with travel to the Project site as required. Time at the Galore Creek project site is also an expectation.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across metallurgical, process engineering and development planning activities.
- Lead metallurgical and process engineering activities to support advancement of the Project through stage-gate progression, including update and consolidation of the Project Process Design Basis in collaboration with EPCM partners.
- As part of the Owner's Team, provide oversight of EPCM consultants, laboratories, and technical service providers to ensure metallurgical solutions are technically robust, economically sound, and aligned with Project objectives.
- Review and oversee EPCM deliverables, including process design criteria, process flow diagrams, mass balances, and process plant design documentation ensuring designs support safe, reliable, and efficient future operations.
- Provide technical leadership related to gold recovery processes, including cyanidation and cyanide destruction, with consideration of downstream water quality and environmental performance.
- Collaborate closely with tailings, water, environmental, geology, mining, and other engineering teams to ensure metallurgical requirements are effectively incorporated across disciplines and support integrated project development.
- Identify metallurgical risks and opportunities and recommend strategies to maximize project value.
- Support capital and operating cost development related to process plant and tailings systems and provide input into project economics and business planning.
- Provide technical recommendations and support technical and economic trade-off studies that enhance project value, performance, and long-term operability while reducing technical risk.
- Support geometallurgical initiatives including metallurgical drill hole targeting in collaboration with geoscientists, metallurgical sample selection and planning and execution of variability test work programs.
- Develop, maintain, and refine metallurgical recovery, throughput, and product quality models as required.
- Support progression from study phases into engineering and execution, including operational readiness and commissioning planning.
The above key responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.Qualifications- At least 15 years of progressive metallurgical experience with significant experience supporting large-scale copper mining projects, preferably within development-stage or major capital projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline. Advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) considered an asset.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in British Columbia or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC).
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.

- Experience supporting Pre-Feasibility, Feasibility, detailed engineering, and project execution.
- Experience working with EPCM firms, engineering consultants, laboratories, and technical service providers.
- Strong understanding of process design documentation, including Process Design Criteria, Process Flow Diagrams, and mass balances aligned with engineering standards.
- Strong understanding of mineral processing fundamentals including geometallurgy principles, comminution, flotation, and process plant design.
- Experience with gold cyanidation processes and cyanide destruction technologies are considered an asset.
- Experience supporting commissioning, operational readiness, or start-up activities is an asset.
