Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a Principal Planner to join our Rail and Transit division. In this role you will exercise full planning responsibility for interpreting, organizing, coordinating, and executing assignments on a large project, or on several smaller projects or studies. You will maintain liaisons with individuals and units, both inside and outside the company, who are responsible for various planning and design phases of a project.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Plans, schedules, conducts, and/or coordinates detailed phases of planning work in a number of very large and important projects.
  • Gathers, compiles, and analyzes data on economic, social, and physical factors.
  • Assignments may require both conventional planning expertise and innovative solutions.
  • Estimates staffing needs and oversees work assignments of technicians and/or other Planners.
  • Confers with local authorities, civic leaders, social scientists, and land planning and development specialists.
  • Develops recommendations based on governmental measures affecting land use, public utilities, community facilities, housing, and transportation.
  • Prepares, coordinates, and facilitates public involvement and consensus-building meetings and workshops.
  • Reviews and evaluates environmental technical reports, and recommends changes to overall project plan as appropriate.
  • Represents the Company at conferences, seminars, meetings, etc.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Salary Range: $88,400.00 - $154,700.00
