JOB TITLE: Principal [Multiple Positions Available]
JOB DUTIES: Direct, lead and oversee professionals (Analysts and Associates) from the KKR investment team and a range of external legal, financial, accounting, tax and other advisors and consultants in analyzing, structuring, and executing complex investment transactions. Evaluate extensive financial modeling and commercial due diligence conducted by project teams, assess capital structures and debt composition, and monitor financial market conditions to understand the strategic and economic impact of new investments. Formulate and develop new investment ideas based on extensive market and macro-economic research, observations and analysis, including the development of investment themes around opportunities in different asset classes and geographies. Analyze and classify key macro, sector and asset-specific risks to determine potential impacts on investments and thematic focus areas. Develop and analyze information to assess current financial status and future outlook for firms operating in coverage universe. Take a lead role presenting strategic investments and acquisitions to senior management on the Firm's Investment Committees, preparing research and analysis on asset performance and potential risks, and provide recommendations on bidding strategy and investment structuring. Maintain observer participation on the Board of Directors of portfolio companies and transactions in which the Firm has made investments with oversight responsibilities for asset management teams implementing business plans and operational initiatives, including complex repositioning of underperforming assets. Develop relationships and liaise with industry participants, management teams, external advisors, brokers, and capital markets intermediaries to source new operating partners and transactions. Attend global industry conferences and KKR-sponsored investor events, to interact with investors, clients and limited partners. Review and conduct due diligence to evaluate the economics of KKR portfolio companies and potential investment opportunities. Monitor, develop, and support operational initiatives that enhance KKR portfolio company performance. Up to 25% domestic travel required.
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as a Principal, Private Equity Associate/Analyst, Investment Banking Analyst/Associate, or related occupation within Financial Services Industry.
This position requires 5 years of experience with the following: producing deep-dive industry research, including assessing market size/growth, competitive landscape and key trends, and conducting due diligence on business information, including company financials, customer cubes and contracts, product quality and roadmap, commercial strategy, and operational metrics; performing quantitative analysis to identify drivers of growth and profitability; building detailed financial models to forecast financial performance, optimize capital structure and debt and equity financing, and project investment returns and equity value creation; and conducting analyses on healthcare market trends and regulatory changes to evaluate various investment opportunities across the healthcare sector.
This position requires 4 years of experience with the following: analyzing company and asset acquisition opportunities, evaluating expansion and monetization activities for prospective new and existing investments, and developing/evaluating key financial and return metrics, including Revenue / EBITDA Growth, Gross and EBITDA Margin, Cash Flow Generation, Customer and Revenue Retention, Entry / Exit Valuation Multiples, Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Multiple on Invested Capital (MOIC); coordinating with management teams of existing portfolio investments to implement and monitor performance of strategic, operational and M&A initiatives; and preparing and presenting investment memoranda to summarize diligence findings, risks and mitigants, and investment theses and recommendations for key stakeholders (including Investment Committees). Up to 25% domestic travel required.

Salary Range: Salary: $196,036 - $215,000 per year.
