Full Job Description
Purpose:
We are currently recruiting for a Principal Mining Engineer. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Oakville or Markham, Ontario to support the delivery of successful projects and programs with the Worley Canadian Mining Team. The successful candidates will focus on front-end solutions and will support of Worley's engineering projects both locally and globally.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and consulting services to mining clients.
  • Act as Mining lead, Project Manager, Project Engineer on EPCM and DE and Project Delivery scope/projects.
  • Providing input into Business Development strategy and expand professional network.
  • Leading, managing and directing technical and engineering work on PEA, PFS, and FS technical studies.
  • Support and work on technical and engineering execution of mining projects.
  • Support in the maintenance of client relations.
  • Site visits and work on sites as required.

Services will include:
  • Mine planning and design.
  • Mining method selection.
  • Mine optimization.
  • Cost estimates (CAPEX and OPEX)
  • Equipment selection.
  • Project and study management.
  • Due diligence and technical audits.
  • Peer reviews.


What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:
  • Extensive, senior level knowledge and experience in underground consulting and operational excellence
  • In-depth knowledge of Deswik, Studio 5 D planner and other mining industry approved software .
  • Experience and strong familiarity with NI43-101 and/ or JORC compliant studies highly regarded.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Proven ability to collaborate in multi-functional teams.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:
  • Degree in Engineering.
  • PEng valid in Ontario, or ability to obtain.

For applicants based in the province of Ontario, the salary range is $149,295 to $204,914 CAD.
Application of the pay band: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as the candidate's qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
