RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: Relocation assistance may be available CLEARANCE REQUIRED FOR START: No CLEARANCE TYPE: Secret TRAVEL: Yes, 10% of the Time Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This position will be located at Clearfield, UT and supports the Remote Visual Assessment (RVA) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division. A strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, proficiency in CAD design tools, and experience with mechanical systems and equipment are essential for success in this role. Roles and Responsibilities 0Responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mechanical systems, equipment, and infrastructure to support the government agency's mission and operations. 0Apply mechanical engineering principles to design and develop new systems, modify existing systems, and troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures, while ensuring compliance with government regulations and industry standards. 0Perform mechanical analysis, simulations, and testing to validate designs, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with other disciplines such as electrical, software, and aerospace engineering. 0Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design drawings, technical reports, and test plans, and will provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate0s experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
