  • Assist in reviews and meetings related to material status and production readiness.
  • Develop analytical reports regarding supply issues, aging requirements, and schedule performance.

Northrop Grumman is seeking a dynamic, energetic individual for the position of Material Planning Control Analyst Level 3 to join our growing team of diverse professionals in the IBCS International Business Area.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Analyze material requirements, shortages, excess, and supply risks, and take appropriate action to support on-time execution.
  • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, receiving, quality, engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to resolve material and schedule issues.
  • Monitor purchase requisitions, purchase orders, deliveries, and inventory transactions to ensure alignment with program requirements.
  • Review and validate engineering or planning changes for impact to material requirements, stocking positions, and production schedules.
  • Maintain accurate system data to support planning, auditability, and reporting requirements.
  • Support material status reviews, shortage meetings, production readiness reviews, and program execution meetings.
  • Develop reports, metrics, and analysis related to shortages, aging requirements, inventory, and schedule performance.
  • Represent the organization as a key point of contact on material planning matters requiring coordination across multiple functions.
  • Provide material management and analysis support of complex programs.
  • Coordinate and support development of material requirements among multiple Control Account Managers (CAMs) and programs.
  • Review program integrated Bills of Material, support definition and validation of program material requirements, and support material/production planning to enable the efficient approval of purchase requisitions.
  • Interact with Program Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing MRP Analysts, Program Management, and other departments to provide accurate material requirements status.
  • Use MRP analysis tools to perform material resource planning based on demand generated resource requirements current stock, production need dates, vendor lead and material processing time to ensure timely material or service availability to support production operations.
  • Requires strong understanding of Bills of Materials, structures, and dependencies within a manufacturing environment.
  • Requires skills and ability to prepare and present data, charts, and status necessary to highlight potential constraints to meeting schedule including material, supplier, or work center concerns.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience in material planning, production control, supply chain, manufacturing operations, or a related field; or a Master's degree with 3 years of related experience; or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Working experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Cost Account Management monthly reporting
  • Experience in material requirements planning, production planning, inventory control, or supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using MRP/ERP systems to manage material demand, supply, and planning actions.
  • Proficiency with SAP or Similar Material Resource Planning tool
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint (i.e. working with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and conditional formatting)
  • US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Certifications in Earned Value Management or Project Management a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply chain management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline
  • Ability to identify process gaps and implement planning improvements that increase efficiency and material availability.
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in the following disciplines include and are not limited to Finance, Procurement, Logistics, Purchasing, Subcontracting, Supply Chain Management and Production
  • Active government Secret Security clearance
  • Experience with SAP, SAP S/4HANA, or similar enterprise planning systems.


Primary Level Salary Range: $81,800.00 - $122,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
