Full Job Description
RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: No relocation assistance available CLEARANCE REQUIRED FOR START: Yes CLEARANCE TYPE: SAP TRAVEL: Yes, 10% of the Time Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an Logistics Engineer (Level 2) or Principal Logistics Engineer (Level 3) to join our high caliber team at Whiteman AFB, Missouri, the only operational base of the B-2 Stealth Bomber. As a member of our multi-disciplined team, this role directly supports the installation of capability upgrades and support efforts on the B-2 Stealth Bomber fleet. Position Description: As a logistics engineer, you will work with a highly experienced team to develop an unparalleled understanding of aircraft systems, subsystems and integration. You will be responsible for reviewing field support requirements, recommending tool and test equipment, developing and reviewing logistics support, evaluating modifications to the aircraft, and assessing any aircraft specific changes or configurations. You will coordinate with other disciplines to ensure that any configuration changes are addressed in maintenance technical orders (T.O.). You will also act as a focal point for the team for documenting actions ensuring accurate documentation of installed parts in MES, documentation in IMDS, and researching historical records.  Additionally, you will be part of the team assessing future modifications, logistics and equipment requirements, and proposal development. This position may require occasional shift work and extended hours. Work hours may have to shift to support testing requirements and meet aircraft delivery timelines. This position requires a security clearance. An active clearance is preferred, but a clearance request will be submitted for the selected candidate if necessary. The nature of this position requires individuals to be comfortable working in a classified environment; cell phones or personal electronic devices are prohibited within these areas. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings of both Northrop Grumman and military personnel. This position may be filled at either the Logistics Engineer or Principal Logistics Engineer level. #MPR Basic Qualifications Logistics Engineer: - Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university with five (5) years of aerospace industry experience; or Master’s Degree with three (3) years of aerospace industry experience; OR a PhD with 0 years of experience or 9 years of aerospace industry experience in lieu of a degree. - Be able to obtain a U. S. Government security clearance (U. S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). - Ability to obtain Program Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs. Basic Qualifications: Principal Logistics Engineer: - Bachelor’s Degree in from an accredited university with at least two (2) years of aerospace industry experience; or zero (0) years of experience with Master’s Degree or 6 years of aerospace industry experience in lieu of a degree. - Be able to obtain a U. S. Government security clearance (U. S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). - Ability to obtain Program Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs. Preferred Qualifications: - Previous aircraft maintenance experience - Experience using IMDS and Air Force T.O.s - Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance - STEM Degree Primary Level Salary Range: $56,500.00 - $84,700.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $70,100.00 - $105,100.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
