We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Lead Hardware Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both digital and analog circuit design, excellent technical expertise in high-speed interfaces, embedded computer design, and in-depth knowledge of PCB design constraints, including stack-ups and manufacturing processes. This role requires someone who is not only technically proficient but also a strong leader capable of mentoring and guiding a team of less-experienced engineers while ensuring project timelines are met. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving innovation, maintaining team alignment, and reporting progress to upper management.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop digital and analog circuits for cutting-edge applications
- Create and review schematics and ensure proper implementation within project constraints.
- Work on high-speed interfaces, including evaluating signal integrity and ensuring compliance with design standards.
- Develop and implement embedded computer system designs.
- Collaborate with PCB layout engineers to ensure designs meet constraints, including stack-up requirements, impedance control, routing, and manufacturability.
- Provide guidance on PCB fabrication and assembly processes, ensuring designs meet quality and performance standards.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior and mid-level engineers to help them develop their skills, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and innovation.
- Take ownership of team deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Drive hardware engineering projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment, adapting as priorities shift.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (firmware, software, mechanical) to ensure seamless integration of hardware solutions
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies in hardware engineering.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in design processes and workflows to increase efficiency and quality.
