About The Job
This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, technically challenging environment and wants meaningful ownership over system-level integration outcomes. It offers broad technical exposure, high autonomy, and the opportunity to solve complex cross-disciplinary problems with direct impact on mission-critical system performance.
Duties & Responsibilities- Define and lead system-level integration strategy across Linux-based compute environments, hardware/software interfaces, IP-networked components and services, and controlled platform baselines.
- Develop integration approaches, build sequences, dependency maps, and interface validation strategies that support stable system operation.
- Lead system build, installation, configuration, and baseline management across lab, development, and customer-facing environments.
- Guide complex hardware/software integration across embedded software, operating systems, middleware, applications, and external interfaces.
- Define testbed and lab requirements needed to support integration, troubleshooting, regression, readiness, and automation.
- Lead cross-functional troubleshooting and drive integration risks, blockers, and defects to closure.
- Maintain traceability across requirements, interfaces, builds, verification events, and integrated capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership for integration automation, repeatable workflows, and configuration/change management practices.
- Drive alignment across Systems, Software, Hardware, Test, Cyber, Quality, Configuration Management, and Program teams.
- Support readiness reviews, customer-facing integration events, and formal technical demonstrations.
- Mentor engineers and strengthen integration rigor, troubleshooting discipline, and execution consistency across the team.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 10+ years of experience in systems integration, systems engineering, hardware/software integration, test infrastructure, or related technical roles.
- Demonstrated experience defining and leading system-level integration strategy, including sequencing, dependency management, interface bring-up, and stable baseline establishment.
- Strong experience troubleshooting hardware/software interfaces such as Ethernet, serial, USB, CAN, or similar I/O interfaces.
- Experience with system build strategy, baseline management, test environments, and hardware/software configuration alignment.
- Strong root-cause analysis skills across software, hardware, networking, and integrated systems.
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional technical alignment and maintain execution momentum across engineering teams.
- Experience supporting integration traceability, automation, readiness activities, and formal test or demonstration events.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly convey status, risk, and technical recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and provide technical direction beyond a single assigned integration scope.
- Lead and support customer-facing integration events, technical demonstrations, readiness activities, and on-site execution at customer, lab, or test locations; travel of up to 30% is expected based on program needs and integration event schedules.
- Active Secret clearance or the ability to acquire a security clearance required.
