We are looking for a Principal Financial Analyst for the Database and Multicloud Finance team. In this role, you will own the team's operational framework and complex finance processes, lead high-impact ad hoc analysis, drive AI implementation, and process simplification, and serve as a senior escalation point for operational and analytical issues. The ideal candidate combines deep financial and business judgment with strong communication, process leadership, technical curiosity, and the ability to independently navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
• Lead complex financial modeling and scenario analysis for product and infrastructure decisions, including P&L, cost-per-unit, and profitability analyses.
• Lead finance reviews for new products and pricing decisions; guide issues through cross-functional approval workflows.
• Drive automation, AI implementation, and process simplification while advancing team enablement through scalable tools, SOPs, documentation, best practices, training, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Commercial Enablement, and Finance teams on product launches, infrastructure decisions, capacity planning, investment tradeoffs, cost optimization, and resolution of complex financial or operational issues.
• Lead high-visibility executive decision support and ad hoc requests from senior business and finance leaders, rapidly framing ambiguous questions, coordinating cross-functional inputs, developing rigorous analysis, and delivering clear recommendations and executive-ready materials under tight timelines.
• Own the team's operating framework and process governance across Database and Multicloud, including coordination of Rhythm of Business processes, controls, documentation, escalation paths, data quality, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus
• 8+ years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, strategic finance, or a related analytical role
• Advanced financial modeling, data analysis, and Excel skills, including the ability to work with large and complex datasets
• Strong understanding of P&Ls, profitability, cost allocations, unit economics, and forecasting
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for senior leaders
• Technical acumen with intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning
• Demonstrated track record of process improvement and transformation, including governance, controls, simplification, automation, and use of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Codex)
• Strong business judgment, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners and lead through expertise without formal authority
• Ability to mentor others and drive high-quality execution across the team; excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Deep knowledge of the Cloud business model and experience in technology, cloud, database, or infrastructure-related finance
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Oracle Analytics Cloud, Tableau, or similar tools)

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $84,500 to $187,000 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
