The Principal Financial Analyst will support the U.S. Distribution Network and Global Logistics Partners. This role is critical to driving sustainable improvements across financial processes and capabilities to support future growth, including establishing baseline system requirements and controls within a new ERP system and supporting the implementation of a new U.S. distribution site.
As a trusted finance partner, this individual will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that strengthen financial governance, improve operational performance and enable strategic business decisions across the distribution network. This role requires the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels, develop scalable financial processes and deliver insights that support long-term business objectives.
Responsibilities also include month-end close activities, SOX control testing, financial and strategic planning, reporting, and business analysis. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, self-motivated finance professional who builds strong business partnerships while optimizing financial processes, planning, reporting and analysis through sound financial principles and continuous improvement.

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Quincy, Massachusetts office at least three days per week. Your responsibilities will include:
• Serve as the subject matter expert for financial process flows supporting network design initiatives and ERP implementation projects.
• Lead complex, cross-functional finance initiatives that support distribution network transformation and long-term strategic business objectives.
• Develop, enhance and maintain a robust and efficient financial control environment across the distribution network.
• Establish and drive financial governance, standardized processes and best practices that improve consistency, compliance and scalability.
• Prepare and distribute financial reporting packages by gathering, analyzing and interpreting current business performance.
• Perform financial analysis and provide strategic recommendations by utilizing appropriate financial tools, policy compliance and creative problem-solving techniques.
• Influence business decisions by communicating financial risks, opportunities and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial performance, operational efficiency and internal controls through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end close activities to ensure accurate accounting at the functional and departmental levels.
• Partner cross-functionally to improve financial processes, reporting capabilities and operational decision-making.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business partners and provide technical guidance to finance colleagues on complex accounting and financial process matters.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in progressive end-to-end accounting with broad expertise across multiple accounting disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional finance or business transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience with business process improvement methodologies.
• Experience with SAP S/4 or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls and their impact on end-to-end business processes, financial statements and financial statement assertions.
• Demonstrated application of accounting principles and advanced financial analysis techniques.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and senior leaders without direct authority.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for executive decision-making.
• Strong communication, consulting and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose issues related to processes, technology, strategy or people and implement effective, sustainable solutions.
• Strong financial acumen with experience developing business cases and compelling value propositions for process improvement initiatives.
Preferred qualifications:
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), or equivalent advanced credential.
• Experience with business intelligence and analytics platforms.
• Experience establishing financial governance, standardized processes or enterprise-wide controls across multiple business functions.
