Full Job Description
RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: Relocation assistance may be available CLEARANCE REQUIRED FOR START: Yes CLEARANCE TYPE: Top Secret TRAVEL: Yes, 10% of the Time Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Logistics Engineer, Product Support to join our team of individuals within our Product Support organization supporting the Strategic Command, Control, and Communications Systems (SCS) Business Unit. The position will be onsite in Melbourne, FL. This role will support the E-130J TACAMO program, supporting supportability design influence and sustainment requirements. This position will be full-time in the office with nominal travel responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Support Logistics Product Data development. - Basic understanding of EAGLE for logistics acquisition management. - Basic knowledge for understanding three-level maintenance concepts. - Read and interpret engineering drawings for maintenance task development. - Research and understand engineering hardware changes. - Assist with technical briefings to the customer and end user and provide recommendations as to the employment of the weapon system. - Knowledge of military operations, procedures, and training activities. - Understanding of initial spares/repair parts development. - Must have knowledge of military supply and maintenance procedures. Basic Qualifications: - 5 Years experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 3 Years with Masters; Additional years of experience required in lieu of a degree. - Excellent computer skills combined with a mastery of Microsoft Office. - Excellent written and verbal communications skills. - Exercising a high degree of initiative and exhibiting advance organization skills. - Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance standards with supervision. - Demonstrated ability to solve a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. - Demonstrated ability to work in a fluid environment with diverse stakeholders. - Experience working in a government or government contractor environment. - Basic understanding of logistic elements; supportability, maintainability, and logistics support Preferred Qualifications: - Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management - Familiarization with all twelve Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements - Experience integrating Logistics efforts across the various Product Support disciplines. Primary Level Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
