Full Job Description
The tasks you'll perform
  • Provide proficient and accurate design input for the production of Civil and Earthworks drawings.
  • Maintain the quality of output produced from the appointed discipline team to ensure deliverables are met to high-level of accuracy.
  • Develop and monitor the production of designs in accordance with Project, Client and regulatory standards.
  • Work collaboratively with personnel across all business units.
  • Monitor the design and drafting progress and report to the relevant Managers on a weekly basis.
  • Develop technical documentation including scopes of work and specifications using relevant Canadian and industry standards and guidelines.
  • Produce accurate engineering lists such as material take-offs, and MTOs as required.

  • Evaluate and approve tenders, provide technical recommendations for the purchase of civil equipment from vendors where necessary.

The expertise you'll bring
  • University Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • 15+ post graduate experience
  • Preferably experience in process plant or related industries, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve consistently high standards within both budgetary and schedule constraints.
  • Proficient understanding of business acumen with the ability to adapt to different business environments.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and commitment.
  • High attention to detail and exceptional knowledge of engineering design and calculations.
  • Demonstrate a strict practice of confidentiality, personal responsibility and discretion.

The expected salary range for this role is $180,000 to $200,000. This range is based on the role's job family and level and reflects a good faith estimate for the role at the time of posting. Your final offer will depend on factors such as market conditions, internal equity and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
