Optimization & Efficiency: Lead initiatives to drive BOM cost down, improve hardware reliability/quality, and accelerate time-to-market through streamlined design cycles.
Responsibilities- Process Leadership: Own the EE development process, establishing best practices for schematic capture, PCB layout, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
- Cross-Functional Orchestration: Manage interfaces with a large matrix of key stakeholders, to ensure seamless system integration.
- Resource Management: Leverage and direct both internal engineering talent and external Tier 1/2 partners to execute complex hardware roadmaps.
- Subject Matter Expert: Provide expert-level review of EE schematics and data sheets for high-performance SoCs, MCUs, and FPGAs.
- Validation Strategy: Partner with the Lab and Test teams to define ATE and HIL testing requirements that validate hardware stability across the full product lifecycle.
Qualifications- Experience: Minimum of 20+ years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering and hardware validation.
- Functional Safety and Compliance: Extensive experience in safety-critical or highly regulated industries, with a proven track record of delivering production-grade electronics.
- Hardware Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in reading and interpreting complex EE schematics and designing for high-performance computing platforms.
- Manufacturing Fluency: Deep understanding of IPC-A-610/620 quality levels and experience validating supplier manufacturing processes on-site.
- End-to-End Execution: Demonstrated success in "greenfield" product development-taking an idea from a blank sheet to a fully operational, high-volume hardware platform.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications- Automotive Experience: Direct experience with automotive-grade electronics, high-voltage DC systems, and complex wiring harness architectures.
- Strategic Savings: Proven ability to document and execute significant cost-avoidance strategies through board-level repairs and design optimizations.
