Position Summary (Purpose of job):

The Principal, EITP M&A Delivery Service Leader - Infrastructure serves as the senior technical advisor and primary infrastructure representative for enterprise integration initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, strategic partnerships, and other business transformation programs requiring infrastructure services.

This role partners closely with Program Management, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Cloud, Network, Cyber Security, Cross Functional teams, and business stakeholders to assess infrastructure impacts, perform technical due diligence, identify risks, develop integration strategies, and coordinate successful implementation.

This role also provides technical leadership, influences executive decision-making, and ensures infrastructure services are effectively represented throughout the lifecycle of strategic business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Representation
  • Serve as the primary infrastructure representative for enterprise integration initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic business programs.
  • Represent Infrastructure in cross-functional planning meetings and executive discussions.

Technical Due Diligence
  • Lead infrastructure technical assessments for prospective acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic initiatives.
  • Review technical documentation, infrastructure environments, service inventories, operational maturity, and support models.
  • Identify infrastructure risks, opportunities, and integration complexity.

Integration Planning
  • Partner with infrastructure engineering teams to define infrastructure requirements, migration activities, resource needs, and implementation schedules aligned with MT standards and business objectives.
  • Coordinate Day 1 readiness, transition activities, and post-integration milestones.

Financial and Operational Analysis
  • Support business case development through technical and financial analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize infrastructure costs and improve operational efficiency throughout integration initiatives.

Risk Management
  • Identify infrastructure-related risks associated with integration initiatives (i.e. technical, resiliency, and supportability risks).
  • Develop mitigation strategies and monitor risk remediation activities.

Executive Advisory
  • Present infrastructure findings, integration options, implementation approaches, and risk assessments to senior leadership.
  • Provide objective recommendations that balance business objectives, technology standards, operational readiness, and financial considerations.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Build strong partnerships across Infrastructure, Cloud, Network, Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture, PMO, and business organizations.
  • Coordinate subject matter experts across multiple technology disciplines.

Continuous Improvement
  • Develop and maintain repeatable integration methodologies, assessment templates, documentation standards, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure integration processes, governance, and delivery efficiency.
  • Capture lessons learned and incorporate continuous improvements into future initiatives.


Minimal Requirements & Skills:
  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 13+ years, with 8+ years, of direct work related experience. Less years required if has relevant Master's or Doctorate qualifications.


Critical Skills:
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure, solution architecture, technology integration, infrastructure engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional technology initiatives.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, large-scale technology transformations, or enterprise integration programs is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with executive leadership and influencing strategic business decisions.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise infrastructure technologies, including compute, storage, backup, virtualization, databases, cloud services, networking, disaster recovery, and managed services.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to assess implementation costs and operational impacts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple confidential initiatives simultaneously.
