Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Data Management Analyst to join the Chief Data Office (CDO) Strategic Enablement team.
This highly visible role will serve as a strategic advisor to the CDO leadership team, driving enterprise-wide initiatives that shape the future direction of the organization's data strategy, operating model, and value delivery. The role will lead critical efforts spanning Operating Committee (OC) engagement, executive reporting and governance routines, Cost of Data transparency and optimization, cost allocation strategy, and cross-functional execution of the CDO's highest-priority objectives.
Acting as an extension of the CDO leadership team, this role will provide strategic leadership, thought partnership, and execution rigor to advance enterprise data priorities and accelerate business outcomes. The successful candidate will drive alignment across executive stakeholders, establish scalable frameworks for measuring and communicating CDO performance and value, and influence decisions at the highest levels of the organization.
This position requires a unique blend of strategic vision, executive influence, business acumen, and enterprise leadership. Responsibilities include helping define and operationalize the long-term strategic direction of the CDO; ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, including the Enterprise Data Strategy, Technology Strategy, and Data Management Policy and Procedures; identifying opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness; and establishing outcome-based success measures that drive accountability and performance across all CDO functions. The role will be expected to translate complex business, financial, technology, and data challenges into actionable strategies that enhance transparency, drive measurable value, and strengthen the CDO's impact across Wells Fargo.
In this role, you will:- Navigate and manage multiple high-impact, time-sensitive priorities with a strategic lens-simplifying complex issues and driving clear connectivity across CDO initiatives to enable informed decision-making and enterprise-wide alignment.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic counselor to executive leadership and their teams drive strategic initiatives and execute tactical solutions across multiple lines of business.
- Drive the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in depth evaluation and cross channel collaboration.
- Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking.
- Provide executive support for special initiatives, engagement related activities, and ad-hoc operational requests.
- Lead the strategic evolution and execution of a comprehensive cost allocation framework for the CDO.
- Develop senior executive narratives that drive transparency into the cost of data and clearly articulate CDO's allocation methodology and areas businesses can influence.
- Understand CDO's operating model and Wells Fargo's approach to allocations to drive appropriate cost drivers, guide allocation methodologies, and ensure alignment with Wells Fargo's practices.
- Partner with senior executives to identify key decisions, escalation items, and strategic priorities requiring leadership action.
- Drive continuous improvement of cost allocation methodology, reporting, and engagement models.
Required Qualifications: - 10+ years of Data Management, Enterprise Data Governance, Business Execution, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

- Experience in successfully managing complex strategic programs/projects through project lifecycle from conception through roll-out and ongoing support in a large organization.
- Understanding of data management and governance, data strategy, or data technology within the financial services sector.
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills.
