Full Job Description
We9re looking for a senior communications leader to join our Communications team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to help build, scale, and run a modern comms engine. The successful candidate will be experienced leading strategic PR initiatives, data-driven narratives, product communications, integrated campaigns and executive thought leadership initiatives to help define how a category leader shows up in the market. The role requires strong judgment, operational rigor, cross-functional alignment, and the ability to balance speed and precision to deliver Apollo9s story to key audiences including media, analysts, customers, partners, investors, and employees.

As the Head of Communications9 principal partner and second-in-command, you9ll own high-impact workstreams end-to-end: developing strategic content, leading product launches, activating thought leadership, and building durable media and analyst relationships that influence how Apollo is understood by the market. You9ll translate strategy into execution, help establish the operating cadence and standards for the comms function, and play a critical role in positioning Apollo as the system of record for modern GTM.

This is a senior, hands-on role with meaningful autonomy and visibility, shaping and delivering Apollo9s narrative to media, analysts, partners, customers, industry influencers and employees.
What You9ll Do
PR Content and Thought Leadership
  • Turn Apollo corporate narratives, milestones and data insights into compelling stories that earn attention with media, analysts, and customers.
  • Develop high-impact content for external audiences including contributed bylines, data benchmark and survey reports, executive POVs, and other content to build thought leadership and brand awareness.
  • Ensure narratives reinforce Apollo9s messaging and support its business strategy.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on integrated campaigns, editorial planning and amplification.
Product and Partnership Communications
  • Drive product PR that highlights innovation, customer impact, and category leadership.
  • Develop data-informed messaging and materials including press releases, messaging frameworks, briefing documents, FAQs, talking points, and reactive statements.
  • Partner closely with Product, Product Marketing, Engineering, Legal to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency across all product communications.
  • Support for sensitive comms (e.g., data topics, platform policies, incidents, and legal or regulatory matters) with strong judgment and executive-ready recommendations.
Analyst Relations
  • Help enhance and operationalize Apollo9s analyst relations strategy, with a focus on influence, education, and long-term relationship building.
  • Manage day-to-day engagement with key analysts including Gartner, Forrester, GZ Consulting, Info-Tech, and others.
  • Develop analyst-facing materials such as briefings, decks, messaging frameworks, and market POVs.
Internal Communications
  • Lead planning and execution of all-hands meetings, including agenda development in coordination with executive team leaders, speaker preparation, content production, and run-of-show coordination.
  • Develop internal communications content and cross-channel cadence that reinforce Apollo9s narrative and strategy, ensuring employees understand company goals, priorities, momentum and moments of change.
  • Draft, edit, and distribute internal announcements for org changes, product updates, milestones, and other company-wide initiatives; ensure internal and external comms are tightly aligned, synchronized, and strategically sequenced.
What You Bring
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications (B2B tech, SaaS, AI, or GTM industry experience preferred).
  • Strong track record of data storytelling and translating research into earned media and thought leadership.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, from crisp messaging to long-form content.
  • Proven experience leading product launches, product PR, and simplifying complex technical narratives.
  • Experience with media relations, analyst relations, crisis communications, AI/ML technology, and product communications.
  • A builder9s mindset: comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving priorities.
  • Strong cross-functional partnership skills across Product, Marketing, Sales, Legal, and Exec teams.
Who You Are
  • A high-judgment communicator who can balance speed with quality and precision.
  • A savvy storyteller with a strong instinct for trends and angles that resonate with the media.
  • A strategic operator who enjoys a startup-speed environment and developing processes for efficiency.
  • A detail-obsessed writer who values clarity, precision, and craft.
  • A relationship builder who can partner with executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Confident, collaborative, and comfortable owning big, visible workstreams.
  • Savvy leveraging AI tools to accelerate PR impact.
  • Bring ambition with humility: confident driver, exceptional collaborator.
Why You9ll Love Working at Apollo
  • Build public visibility of a category-defining, hypergrowth AI company.
  • Work directly with a seasoned Head of Communications to build a world-class comms function.
  • Own flagship thought leadership initiatives with executive visibility.
  • Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits.
