The Principal Bioreactor Technology & Industry Leader is responsible for being a subject matter expert in single-use bioreactors, associated accessories, and upstream bioprocess requirements, providing leadership across product, process, and performance domains. By collaborating closely with Product Managers and new product introduction teams, and engaging with customers and industry groups, the position influences technical direction, shapes product requirements, and ensures Cytiva remains at the forefront of industry standards and trends.
This position reports to the Director, Product Management - Cell Growth and is part of the Upstream and Fluid Management team and will be an on-site role at one of our locations including Marlborough, MA or Duncan, SC.
What you’ll do
- Provide inter-disciplinary product leadership, overseeing process, performance, design and documentation while influencing new product requirements and industry standards.
- Support commercial and internal teams during customer technical discussions, contributing to requirements gathering and technical solutions.
- Assist Product Managers in creating technical sales tools, including application notes, reports, publications, and presentations.
- Provide thought leadership through publishing relevant industry content and keeping teams informed of trends and evolving standards.
- Presenting to customers and users’ groups providing detailed information and generating enthusiasm for the products
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biology or Biotechnology
- Long-standing experience in cell culture development and/or manufacturing, producing protein therapeutics
- Operated, optimized, and scaled up cell culture processes using single-use equipment, preferred experience with Xcellerex bioreactors platform(s)
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills by compiling complex technical information into clear, concise reports and presentations tailored for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability in motivating, influencing and leading global, cross-functional teams

The annual salary range for this role is $190,000-$210,000 USD This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
