BeOne Medicines is seeking an accomplished scientific leader to serve as Director, Clinical Biomarkers & Translational Medicine within the Oncology organization. This individual will lead the development and implementation of integrated translational medicine and clinical biomarker strategies across a portfolio of innovative solid tumor programs spanning early- and late-stage clinical development.
The successful candidate will serve as the translational and biomarker lead for assigned programs, partnering closely with Discovery Research, Clinical Development, Clinical Pharmacology, Precision Medicine, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Regulatory Affairs, Diagnostics, Medical Affairs, and external collaborators to accelerate biomarker-driven drug development and enable data-driven clinical decision making.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Clinical Biomarker Strategy and Clinical Development
Lead the development and execution of integrated translational medicine and clinical biomarker strategies from First-in-Human through registration for assigned oncology programs.
Develop biomarker strategies supporting patient selection and enrichment; pharmacodynamic assessments, including target engagement; mechanism of action and mechanisms of sensitivity and resistance; dose optimization; prognostic and predictive biomarker development
Ensure biomarker plans are scientifically rigorous, operationally feasible, and aligned with overall clinical development objectives.
Integrate and interpret clinical, molecular, pharmacologic, and translational datasets to generate biological insights that inform program strategy, clinical development decisions, and portfolio prioritization.
Provide scientific leadership for biomarker-related regulatory activities.
Establish and manage strategic collaborations with academic investigators, contract research organizations, central laboratories, and diagnostic partners.
Represent BeOne Medicines at scientific meetings, external collaborations, and consortium activities.
Drive publication and presentation of high-impact translational and biomarker research in peer-reviewed journals and scientific congresses.
Experience
Minimum of five years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience in oncology drug development, including substantial experience leading clinical biomarker and translational medicine strategies.
Demonstrated success supporting biomarker strategy across Phase I–III oncology clinical development.
Experience developing biomarker strategies for targeted therapies, immuno-oncology agents, and/or antibody-drug conjugates.
Experience supporting companion diagnostic development is highly desirable.
Experience contributing to regulatory submissions involving biomarkers and precision medicine is preferred.
Scientific Expertise
Deep expertise in translational oncology and clinical biomarker science.
Working knowledge of modern translational technologies, including: next-generation sequencing (NGS), RNA sequencing, ctDNA, multiplex immunohistochemistry, digital pathology, proteomics, flow cytometry, single-cell technologies, emerging multi-omics approaches/data integration and computational biology

Education Required:
PhD, MD, PharmD, or MD/PhD in Oncology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Cancer Biology, Pharmacology, or a related scientific discipline.
